The Swarthy Channel Launches The Swarthy Crown, Exploring Historical Accounts of European Royalty

BRANCHBURG, NJ, October 22, 2026 | The Swarthy Channel, the AI film studio founded by Sal Austin, announces The Swarthy Crown: The Erased Portraits of European Royalty, a new series exploring historical accounts of European royalty. The new series examines chronicles, state papers, and eyewitness accounts behind portrayals of European kings.

The studio creates historical short films exploring overlooked people, rulers, and civilizations, drawing on chronicles, annals, sagas, and other historical texts. The films are published on YouTube, and every series has a dedicated page at https://theswarthychannel.com with its episodes in order and a list of sources, linked to scans where available online, so viewers can check the citations for themselves.

Recognition

  • Three Swarthy Channel films were Official Selections at Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions Volume 7: "What They Never Told You About the Black Vikings," "How the Swarthy Germanic Tribes Evolved into the Holy Roman Empire," and "Banished Princesses: Not Every Princess Lived Happily Ever After."
  • Swarthy films have aired on CAN TV 21 (Chicago Access Network Television).
  • Sal Austin on IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm17524415/

Flagship Series

  • The Ancient World Awakens (Season One, 40 episodes): Tracing the rulers who built the foundation of human civilization, one ruler per episode. From Sargon of Akkad and Hammurabi to Hatshepsut, Piye, Amanirenas, and Ramses II, this 40-part epic puts primary records, ancient inscriptions, and archaeological receipts directly on screen.
  • The Rise and Fall of the Moorish Empire in Europe (31 episodes): The foundational core of medieval European history. Tracing nearly eight centuries from Tariq ibn Ziyad's crossing in 711 AD through the golden age of Córdoba and Al-Andalus to the fall of Granada in 1492.

Newly Launched

  • The Swarthy Crown: The Erased Portraits of European Royalty (New Series): You've seen their portraits... but have you ever actually read their court descriptions? Behind Europe's crowns lie primary source chronicles, official state papers, and eyewitness accounts that demand a much closer look at how royal lineages were recorded in their own time.

More from The Swarthy Channel

  • Black Europe: The Truth They Hid (98 videos): The Black Danes of the annals, Halfdan the Black of the sagas, and the kings and nobles the old writers called black, dark, or swarthy.
  • Deep Dives: The Real History They Erased (24 videos): Old books read cover to cover, including David MacRitchie's Ancient and Modern Britons (1884) and Godfrey Higgins's The Celtic Druids (1827).
  • The Hidden Empire: Tartaria & the Forgotten Moors (16 videos): Tartaria, the star forts, domed buildings, and great cathedrals of the old world.
  • Ancient Egyptian Mysteries: Esoteric Teachings from the Nile (11 videos): Hermes, the Kybalion, sacred sound, and the symbols linked to the priesthoods of the Nile.
  • The Hidden Goddess: Lost History, Forbidden Wisdom & Her Return (5 videos): Mami Wata, Isis, and the Divine Feminine across cultures.

"I kept finding descriptions in historical texts that challenged the history I had been taught," said Sal Austin, founder of The Swarthy Channel. "Our films bring those sources onto the screen, and our series pages list the references, with links to scans where available. Nobody has to take my word for it. Read the receipts, check the citations, and decide for yourself."
